چکیده
Abstract Chromium manganese austenitic stainless steel is exhibiting an admirable amalgamation of higher strength and stress corrosion resistance. This economical developed to fulfill the requirement a variety consumers for high temperature structural applications. Hitherto, limitation associate with TIG welding process low depth penetration which reduces productivity. Activated tungsten inert gas (ATIG) best suitable option overcome this problem satisfy sustainable requirement. Welding procedure has been chromium during ATIG using box behken design (BBD) improve The activated flux SiO 2 TiO indicates improvement in 5.3 mm 5.1 as compared welding. welded test coupon hardness 495 MPa 195 HV when flux, 487 190 435 165 coupon. welds have because their finer grain size coupons.

Microstructural evolution of 304 austenitic stainless steel in friction stir welding process
Friction stir welding (FSW) was conducted on AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel plate with 2 mm thickness. The FSW was performed at a welding and rotational speeds of 50 mm/min and 400 rpm, respectively. Microstructure observations by the optical microscopy showed that a severe grain refinement occurred in the stir zone (SZ). Electron backscattered diffraction analysis (EBSD) results indicated...

متن کاملTWIP-effect and thermo-mechanical treatment of a stable high-manganese austenitic stainless steel
Austenitic carbon steels that exhibit excellent mechanical properties due to the twinning-induced plasticity effect have been studied extensively. On the other hand, austenitic stainless steels usually achieve good strength and ductility via transformation-induced plasticity. However, relying on martensite transformation for strength may cause problems such as delayed cracking. Therefore, the t...
متن کاملAttachment of Listeria monocytogenes to an austenitic stainless steel after welding and accelerated corrosion treatments.
Austenitic stainless steels, widely used in food processing, undergo microstructural changes during welding, resulting in three distinctive zones: weld metal, heat-affected zone, and base metal. This research was conducted to determine the attachment of Listeria monocytogenes in these three zones before and after exposure to a corrosive environment. All experiments were done with tungsten inert...
متن کاملOptimization of Weld Bead Width in Tungsten Inert Gas Welding of Austenitic Stainless Steel Alloy
This paper investigates the effects of process parameters on weld bead width of austenitic stainless steel SS-310 in tungsten inert gas welding. The four parameters namely welding current, type of gas, gas flow rate and included angle of weld plates during butt joint were varied at three levels. The DOE approach was used to design experimental conditions. Orthogonal array L9 was used for carryi...
